It features stable formulation, excellent emulsifying property and good dispersibility. After dilution with water, it forms uniform emulsion with strong adhesion on plant surfaces. As a cyclohexanedione herbicide, clethodim boasts powerful systemic activity and rapid translocation with high specificity. Once sprayed on weed foliage, the liquid is quickly absorbed and transported down to roots. It inhibits fatty acid synthesis in weeds, destroys cell membrane structures and blocks growth metabolism, leading to thorough withering of the whole plant without regreening.
