Yantai Salvage Bureau's Jiang Xuexing Honored on "China Good Person List"

Recently, the Central Office for the Promotion of Spiritual Civilization released the third batch of the "China Good People List" for 2026. Jiang Xuexing, the director of the Diving Engineering Department of the Salvage Engineering Fleet at the Yantai Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, was selected in the "Dedication and Contribution" category of the "China Good People" award.

Since joining the workforce in July 2004, Jiang Xuexing has been rooted on the frontlines of salvage operations for more than 20 years, persisting underwater for 88,660 minutes. From salvaging the "Fenwei" vessel and rescuing the "Afra Lattice" vessel to emergency rescues in the Sanmenxia River in Henan, he has participated in more than 30 major salvage missions. His diving efforts have also been part of the major national construction projects, such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Tunnel. In critical moments, Jiang Xuexing has always led the charge, faithfully practicing the salvage spirit of "giving the hope of life to others and leaving the danger of death to oneself," quietly safeguarding the peace of the seas.

The third batch of the "China Good People List" for 2026 includes a total of 150 exemplary individuals who were honorably recognized. According to incomplete statistics, eight individuals from the transportation industry were selected, covering fields such as salvage, road maintenance, urban public transport, road freight, and postal express services. From saving lives in turbulent seas to safeguarding high-altitude roads on snowy plateaus, and offering warmhearted deliveries in city streets and alleys, these transportation workers vividly demonstrate the spirit of moral integrity, dedication, and kindness within the transportation industry in the new era.
