Mr. Liu Quan, Chairman of Beijing United Informantion Technology Co., Ltd., was Invited to Attend the North American Mingde Forum and Delivered a Speech

On November 11, 2023, one of the most influential forums for Chinese universities in the United States, the North American Mingde Forum, was held at the Harvard Club in Manhattan, New York, and Lin Shangli, President of the Renmin University of China, delivered a video speech; and the conference was organized by Mr. Wu Yafeng, President of the North American Alumni Association of the Renmin University of China and alumnus of Class of 1995.

Mr. Li Shanquan, the most influential Chinese fund manager at Wall Street, the founder of the North American Alumni Association of the Renmin University of China and an alumnus of the Class of 1978, delivered a keynote speech. Mr. Yu Yougen, Education Counselor of the Consulate General of the Renmin University of China in New York, Mr. Li Deshun, Chairman of the North American Alumni Association of the Renmin University of China, President of Benimax Investment and alumnus of Class 1978, and Mr. Liu Quan, Chairman of Guolian Corporation, visiting scholar of Harvard University and alumnus of Class 1994, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Nankai University and other universities sent representatives to the meeting and congratulated.

Founded in June 2015 in Delaware, the North American Alumni Association of Renmin University of China (RUCNAAA) is headquartered in New York City, with members in major cities in the United States and Canada, providing tens of thousands of alumni in North America with an online and offline platform for communication, information, friendship development and mutual assistance. In December 2018, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter sent a special letter to RUCNAAA: "It is hard to imagine forty years ago that an elite Chinese university like Renmin University of China could establish such an active and powerful alumni association in the United States. Through your alumni associations, you can demonstrate how far China has come and how much a country can achieve by investing in education. ”

The conference was particularly significant as it preceded the APEC China-US Summits in San Francisco, USA, and many elite alumni of Wall Street gave an outlook on the future of global economy and investment, and fully discussed the development of Sino-US relations.
