From Nov. 12–16, Prof. Wu Xiaoqiu, Vice President of Renmin University’s Alumni Association and National Academy of Financial Research (NAFR), led a delegation to Boston and New York. He engaged senior alumni, visited Harvard’s East Asian Library and Fairbank Center, and addressed the “North America Minde Forum 2025” with a keynote on AI-driven economic transformation, capital market reform, and innovation-led growth. Emphasizing China’s shift from a “shortage” to a “surplus” economy, he advocated institutional innovation, investor-centric financial reforms, and Sino-U.S. academic collaboration to tackle global rebalancing, technological disruption, and sustainable development. The trip strengthened NAFR’s international network and advanced its mission of building a world-class, China-rooted financial research hub.
