However, total exports from January to August rose to 152,700 tons, a 225.54% increase compared to the same period last year, mainly shipped to Vietnam (98%) and Myanmar (1%). The data reflects a sharp rise in imports amid shifting global trade patterns and strong domestic demand, while export volumes decreased but remained higher than the previous year overall.

From January to August 2023, the cumulative export volume was 152,700 tons, an increase of 105,800 tons compared to last year, a year-on-year increase of 225.54%.

In August 2023, the main countries importing synthetic ammonia to China were Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, accounting for 59%, 27%, 8%, and 6% of the total import volume respectively; in August, the main countries to which China exported synthetic ammonia were Vietnam and Myanmar, accounting for 98% and 1% of the total export volume respectively.
