China Urea Import and Export Data for December 2023

According to customs data, in December 2023, China's urea export volume was 343,600 tons, a decrease of 19,070 tons from the same period last year, down by 35.70% year-on-year; a decrease of 17,190 tons compared to the previous month, down by 33.35% month-on-month. The average export price this month was 367.97 USD/ton. From January to December 2023, the total cumulative export volume was 4,254,700 tons, an increase of 1,423,500 tons compared to the same period last year, up by 50.28% year-on-year.

According to customs data, in December 2023, China's urea import volume was 1,367.22 tons, an increase of 634.59 tons from the same period last year, up by 86.62% year-on-year; an increase of 1,346.38 tons compared to the previous month, up by 6462.12% month-on-month. The average import price this month was 585.85 USD/ton. From January to December 2023, the total cumulative import volume was 3,592.93 tons, a decrease of 1,206.20 tons compared to last year, down by 25.13% year-on-year.

The top two countries for China's urea exports in December 2023 were India and South Korea, accounting for 92% and 3% of the total export volume, respectively.
