"Research on the Planning of Inland Waterway and Port Layout in Liaoning Province" Passes Expert Consultation

Recently, the expert consultation meeting on the preliminary results of the "Planning and Research on the Layout of Inland Waterways and Ports in Liaoning Province," led by China Communications Water Transportation Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., was held in Shenyang. The attending representatives and experts unanimously agreed that the planning layout was comprehensive, well-focused, and met the requirements of phased achievements.

Liaoning Province's inland waterways are an important part of the inland water transport system in Northeast China. They play a key role in building the Northeast land-sea corridor and improving the regional integrated transportation network. The research is closely aligned with the overall plan for building a strong transportation nation and has completed the top-level design for the medium- and long-term development of inland water transport in Liaoning Province from a macro perspective. Next, China Communications Water Transportation Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. will further advance a series of in-depth research efforts to provide a solid technical planning foundation for the early resumption of operations of Liaoning's inland waterways and the establishment of a green water transportation corridor along the Liao River Basin.
