In June 2023, China's urea exports rose to 223,900 tons, up 20.31% year-on-year and 22.42% month-on-month, with an average export price of $378.13/ton. Cumulative urea exports from January to June reached 1.0095 million tons, a 39.41% increase year-on-year. Urea imports dropped to 43.24 tons in June, down 30.89% annually but up 156.77% monthly, at an average price of $1,677.25/ton. Top urea export destinations were Vietnam (17%), Myanmar (13%), and South Korea (12%). Meanwhile, synthetic ammonia imports reached 74,100 tons in June, up 64.30% annually but down 27.71% monthly, averaging $329.75/ton. Exports of synthetic ammonia fell sharply to 0.15 million tons, down 81.64% year-on-year and 40.00% month-on-month, priced at $687.49/ton. From January to June, synthetic ammonia exports totaled 134,700 tons, surging 706.59% year-on-year, while imports reached 390,500 tons, significantly higher than the previous year.
