Highlights at a glance
As of July 11, the average reference price of 30% grade phosphate rock in major regions of China reached approximately 1,083 yuan/ton, rising 2.24% from July 1 and surging 19.05% from June 1. Tight supply, especially in Guizhou, where mining companies raised prices by 50 yuan/ton due to limited spot availability and ongoing production cuts, has driven the market upward. Many local producers are prioritizing self-use, reducing external sales. By mid-July, Guizhou’s 30% grade phosphate rock was priced at 1,100–1,150 yuan/ton, while 28% grade ranged from 980–1,030 yuan/ton. Despite steady downstream demand and normal trading activity, supply constraints remain a key factor. The business community's data indicates that the market will likely remain stable in the short term, with close monitoring of supply-demand dynamics advised.
