On May 29, 2026, the 2026 Asian Modern Agricultural Inputs Exhibition & Application Technology Exchange Conference (Vietnam), or AMAI Vietnam 2026, successfully concluded at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event was jointly organized by the China Crop Protection Industry Association, the China Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Industry Association, and the China Seed Trade Association, with strong support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, the Vietnam Pesticide Association, and the Vietnam Fertilizer Association.

Positioned in Vietnam and extending its reach across ASEAN, this year’s exhibition built on the achievements of the 2025 edition. With a larger scale, higher-level participation, and stronger practical outcomes, AMAI Vietnam 2026 helped advance cooperation across the full agricultural chemicals value chain between China and Vietnam.

Distinguished Guests Gather to Open the Event

The opening ceremony brought together senior representatives from agricultural authorities and industry associations in both China and Vietnam. Guests from both countries jointly attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of this annual regional event for the agricultural inputs sector.

Yan Duanxiang, President of the China Crop Protection Industry Association, delivered remarks on behalf of the organizers. He noted that China is Vietnam’s largest source of imported agrochemical products. High-quality agricultural inputs from China can help Vietnam strengthen crop pest and disease control while promoting complementary advantages and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries’ agricultural industries.

He added that the association will continue to serve as a bridge, helping Chinese enterprises expand into overseas markets, deepen China-Vietnam agrochemical industry cooperation, and build an efficient and practical platform for industry exchange.

Zhao Keli, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China; Huynh Tan Dat, Director of the Plant Production and Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam; Nguyen Van Son, President of the Vietnam Pesticide Association; and Phung Ha, President of the Vietnam Fertilizer Association, also delivered speeches.

The speakers recognized the solid foundation for cooperation between China and Vietnam in the agrochemical sector and expressed a shared commitment to strengthening communication, deepening practical cooperation, and jointly promoting the steady development of both countries’ agrochemical industries.

During the opening ceremony, senior Chinese and Vietnamese representatives shared insights on key industry trends. Zhao Keli provided a systematic overview of China’s pesticide management system, regulatory policies, and current China-Vietnam pesticide trade cooperation, offering guidance for the standardized development of bilateral trade.

Bui Thanh Huong, Head of the Pesticide Management Division of the Plant Production and Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, gave a detailed interpretation of Vietnam’s pesticide registration procedures, management rules, and future regulatory plans, helping Chinese enterprises better understand Vietnam’s market access requirements.

Participants agreed that China and Vietnam have strong agricultural complementarity and broad cooperation potential. Using the exhibition as a platform to deepen alignment in technology, trade, and standards is an important pathway for improving agricultural quality and efficiency in both countries and supporting regional food security.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Guo Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Crop Protection Industry Association.

FDD Leads Chinese Enterprises Overseas

During the exhibition, Chinese and Vietnamese guests visited the booths of participating companies and conducted on-site inspections of products across the full agricultural inputs value chain, including pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, plant protection drones, agrochemical equipment, packaging, and logistics.

The participants held in-depth discussions on topics such as global trade trends in agricultural inputs, market demand in Vietnam, and the application of green agricultural technologies, building an efficient communication bridge for future cooperation.

FDD has long been engaged in the cross-border agricultural inputs sector. At this exhibition, FDD joined hands with leading Chinese agricultural inputs companies, including Zhuhai Jiahe Tiancheng Technology Co., Ltd., Yunnan Yunda Technology Agrochemical Co., Ltd., and Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., to participate as a group and make a joint appearance.

Through integrated display and coordinated services, the group presented high-quality Chinese agricultural inputs, digital supply chain capabilities, and overseas expansion solutions to the international market.
