Highlights at a glance
In November, urea prices surged sharply, with weekly gains reaching up to 3.79%. Major Chinese producers saw significant price increases: Rising Chemical rose by 350 yuan/ton to 2,790 yuan/ton, Lu Hengsheng by 280 yuan/ton to 2,750 yuan/ton, and San'an Xiangcheng by 200 yuan/ton to 2,950 yuan/ton. Despite lower upstream costs—liquefied natural gas dropped 17.17% to 4,514 yuan/ton—liquid ammonia prices jumped 12.86% to 4,623.33 yuan/ton, boosting production costs. Downstream, melamine prices edged up 0.81%. Strong industrial demand, winter fertilizer storage, and rising compound fertilizer plant operations fueled procurement enthusiasm. However, supply tightened due to delayed restarts in Shanxi, maintenance shutdowns at gas-based plants, and logistical disruptions. Current ex-factory prices range from 2,550 to 2,800 yuan/ton regionally. With anthracite and natural gas prices rebounding, cost support is strengthening. Urea output remains around 150,000 tons/day, maintaining tight supply
