Clethodim 240G/L EC
Clethodim 240 g/L EC is a high-active selective systemic post-emergence foliar herbicide of the cyclohexanedione group, specially developed for controlling grass weeds in upland broadleaf crops. Formulated as emulsifiable concentrate (EC), it boasts outstanding penetration and leaf adhesion, suitable for large-scale field plant protection operations with superior overall cost performance for weed control.
1. Product Characteristics & Core Advantages
This product features fast systemic translocation. Grass weeds rapidly absorb the active ingredient via foliage, which is then transported to meristematic tissues to block fatty acid synthesis and inhibit weed cell division. It performs stably across a wide temperature range and delivers more consistent efficacy under low-temperature conditions compared with similar cyclohexanedione herbicides, showing reliable activity above 8°C.
With excellent crop selectivity, it poses minimal phytotoxic risk to dicot broadleaf crops such as soybean and rapeseed, causing no harm to crop root systems or flower bud differentiation. The formulation has premium emulsifiability: no sedimentation or stratification after dilution, enabling uniform spray coverage. It has a short soil half-life and degrades rapidly, leaving no residual phytotoxicity to succeeding crops and fitting diversified crop rotation systems. Slow development of weed resistance allows regular long-term application.
2. Agronomic Efficacy & Applicable Crops
It provides high-efficiency control of annual and perennial grass weeds, including dominant field species such as crabgrass, goosegrass, green foxtail, barnyard grass, wild oat, alopecurus myosuroides, stiff grass and bluegrass. Optimal control is achieved when weeds are at the 2–5 leaf stage or early tillering stage. Treated weeds turn chlorotic and wither within 7–14 days, and die completely in 15–21 days.
Applicable crops cover most dicot broadleaf planting fields: soybean, peanut, cotton, rapeseed, sunflower, melons and fruits, medicinal herbs, broadleaf vegetables and orchards. It only works against grass weeds and delivers no control over broadleaf weeds or sedges. Tank-mixing with broadleaf herbicides is recommended for full-spectrum weed management.
3. Application Precautions
1） Do NOT apply to grass crops including corn, rice, wheat and sorghum, as severe whole-field phytotoxicity and crop death may occur.
2） Spray in windless mornings or evenings; avoid midday high temperature in summer. Suspend application if the daily average temperature is below 8°C.
3） Re-spray promptly if rainfall occurs within 6 hours after treatment. Do not tank-mix with strongly alkaline pesticides or foliar fertilizers to prevent active ingredient decomposition and efficacy loss.
4） Only one application is allowed per crop season. Strictly follow the registered dosage; arbitrary dose increase is prohibited.
5） Wear full protective gear during operation to prevent liquid contact with mouth, nose and skin. Keep away from aquaculture zones when spraying. Discarded pesticide liquid must not be discharged into water sources.
