Dimethomorph Product Introduction
Dimethomorph is the largest variety of morpholinefungicides. It was developed by Shell (now BASF) and launched in 1992. It obtained further registration in the United States in 2002 and re-registered in the European Union. Currently, its main market is in Europe, followed by Asia.
1. Mechanism of action
Dimethomorph destroys the formation of the cell wall membrane of the pathogen, causing the decomposition of the spore sac wall, thus killing the pathogen. Except for the zoospore formation and spore motility stage, it has an effect on all stages of the life cycle of oomycetes, especially the formation stage of sporangial stalks and oospores. If the drug is used before the formation of sporangia and oospores, the production of spores can be completely inhibited. The drug has strong systemicity. If applied to the roots, it can enter all parts of the plant through the roots; if sprayed on the leaves, it can enter the inside of the leaves. It has no cross-resistance with benzamide fungicides such as metalaxyl.
2. How to use
Dimethomorph is mainly used to control diseases by spraying. If the root neck is damaged, the root neck and the surrounding soil can also be sprayed.
When controlling grape, litchi or root neck diseases, generally use 1500-2000 times of 50% water dispersible granules, 2000-3000 times of 80% water dispersible granules, 1000-1500 times of 40% water dispersible granules, 800-1000 times of 25% wettable powder, or 300-400 times of 10% water emulsion, spray or spray;
When controlling diseases of melons, solanaceous fruits, leafy vegetables and tobacco, generally use 35-50 grams of active ingredient per 667 square meters and spray 30-60 liters of water.
The effect is best when the drug is used before the disease occurs or when the lesions first appear.
