Introduction to Chlorfenapyr Product
Chlorfenapyr is widely used in the agricultural field as an insecticide and herbicide. It can be used to control a variety of pests and weeds, and inhibits the photosynthesis of chloroplast organisms.
I. Main Uses
Chlorfenapyr is a pyrrole insecticide and acaricide with a new structure. It has excellent control effects on boring, piercing-sucking, and chewing pests as well as mites. It is more effective than cypermethrin and flucythrinate, and its acaricidal activity is stronger than dicofol and cyhexatin. This agent has the following characteristics: it is a broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide; it has both stomach poisoning and contact effects; it has no cross-resistance with other insecticides; it has moderate residual activity on crops; it has selective systemic activity when absorbed by roots in nutrient solutions; it has moderate oral toxicity to mammals and low dermal toxicity; the effective application rate is low (100g active ingredient/hm²). Its significant insecticidal and acaricidal activity and unique chemical structure have attracted widespread attention and interest.
II. Mechanism of Action
Chlorfenapyr is an insecticide precursor, and it itself has no toxic effect on insects. After insects ingest or come into contact with chlorfenapyr, in the insect body, chlorfenapyr converts excessive functional oxidases into compounds with specific insecticidal activity, and its target is the mitochondria in insect somatic cells. This causes cell synthesis to stop life functions due to lack of energy. After spraying, the pests' activities weaken, spots appear, their color changes, their activities stop, they become comatose and paralyzed, and eventually die.
