Introduction to Bifenthrin Product
Bifenthrin is one of the new pyrethroid agricultural insecticides that developed rapidly in the 1970s and 1980s and is widely used in countries around the world. Bifenthrin is an off-white solid.
I. Main Uses
Bifenthrin is a pyrethroid insecticide and acaricide. It has the characteristics of strong knockdown effect, broad spectrum, high efficiency, quick action, and long residual effect. It mainly acts by contact and stomach poisoning, without systemic action. It can be used to control cotton bollworm, pink bollworm, tea geometrid, tea tussock moth, apple or hawthorn red spider, peach fruit borer, vegetable aphid, cabbage caterpillar, diamondback moth, citrus leafminer, etc. For example, to control cotton bollworm and pink bollworm, it should be applied during the peak hatching period of the second and third generations of eggs, before the larvae bore into buds and bolls; or to control cotton red spider, during the occurrence period of adults and nymphs, spray with 3.4-6mL of 10% emulsifiable concentrate per 100m2 mixed with 7.5-15kg of water, or 4.5-6mL per 100m2 mixed with 7.5kg of water. It can also control cotton aphid, loopers, leaf rollers, slug moths, thrips, etc. To control tea geometrid, tea tussock moth, and tea leafminer, spray with 10% emulsifiable concentrate diluted 4000-10000 times.
II. Product Characteristics
Wide range of applicable crops and many insect-killing types: Bifenthrin can be used on various crops such as wheat, barley, apples, citrus, grapes, bananas, eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, Chinese cabbage, green onions, and cotton. It can control various pests such as red spiders, vegetable aphids, cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths, peach fruit borers, whiteflies, and tea tussock moths, with a relatively broad insecticidal spectrum.
Quick insect-killing effect and long duration of effect: Bifenthrin has contact and stomach poisoning effects. It is precisely because of the contact effect that insects start to die 1 hour after application, and the insect mortality rate reaches 98.5% in 4 hours, and it can kill eggs, larvae, and adult mites; in addition, the duration of effect of bifenthrin can be about 10-15 days.
High insecticidal activity: The insecticidal activity of bifenthrin is higher than that of other pyrethroid insecticides, and the insect control effect is better. When used on crops, it can penetrate into the crops and move up and down with the liquid in the crops. Once pests damage the crops, the bifenthrin liquid in the crops will poison the pests.
