FIPRONIL Product Introduction
Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole insecticide with a broad insecticidal spectrum. It mainly acts as a stomach poison on pests, with contact killing and certain systemic effects. Its mechanism of action is to hinder the chloride metabolism controlled by insect γ-aminobutyric acid. Therefore, it has high insecticidal activity against important pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, lepidopteran larvae, flies and coleoptera, and has no phytotoxicity to crops. This agent can be applied to soil or foliar spray. Application to soil can effectively control corn root leaf beetles, wireworms and cutworms. Foliar spray has a high level of control effect on diamondback moths, cabbage butterflies, rice thrips, etc., with a long lasting period.
I. Uses
It is a fluorinated pyrazole broad-spectrum insecticide with high activity and a wide application range. It shows high sensitivity to pests of Hemiptera, Thysanoptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and other pests that have developed resistance to pyrethroids and carbamates. It can be used in rice, cotton, vegetables, soybeans, rape, tobacco, potatoes, tea, sorghum, corn, fruit trees, forests, public health, animal husbandry, etc., to control rice stem borers, brown planthoppers, rice weevils, cotton bollworms, armyworms, diamondback moths, cabbage caterpillars, cabbage armyworms, beetles, cutworms, bulb nematodes, caterpillars, fruit tree mosquitoes, wheat aphids, coccidia, trichomonads, etc. The recommended dosage is 12.5-150g/hm². China has approved field efficacy tests on rice and vegetables. The formulations are 5% aqueous suspension concentrate and 0.3% granular formulation.
It is mainly used on crops such as rice, sugarcane, potatoes, etc. In terms of animal health, it is mainly used to kill fleas, lice and other parasites on cats and dogs.
II. Application
Fipronil is a GABA-chloride channel inhibitor, with no cross-resistance with existing insecticides. It has a good control effect on pests that are resistant or sensitive to organophosphorus, organochlorine, carbamate, pyrethroid and other insecticides. Suitable crops include rice, corn, cotton, bananas, beets, potatoes, peanuts, etc. There is no phytotoxicity to crops under the recommended dosage. At the same time, it also has an extraordinary effect on the control of cockroaches, a sanitary pest, such as 2% Shennong cockroach bait and 1.1% Haiyun cockroach bait.
