Highlights at a glance
Difenoconazole is a highly effective, broad-spectrum triazole fungicide known for its systemic action, long residual activity, and safety across various crops. It works by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, disrupting fungal cell membrane structure and function, thereby preventing pathogen growth. As a sterol demethylation inhibitor, it offers protective, therapeutic, and systemic properties, with strong penetration and upward conduction in plants, providing protection to new growth within 2 hours of application. Resistant to rain washout, it can be combined with other fungicides like propiconazole and azoxystrobin. It effectively controls a wide range of fungi including Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, and Deuteromycetes, managing diseases such as powdery mildew, rust, leaf spot, scab, and blight in crops like wheat, rice, soybeans, vegetables, fruits, and sugar beets. Minor discoloration may occur in cereals but does not impact yield.
