Highlights at a glance
Lufenuron is a broad-spectrum, low-toxic insecticide that effectively controls pests by inhibiting chitin synthesis, disrupting molting, and preventing cuticle formation in insects. It acts primarily through ingestion, with secondary contact effects and strong ovicidal activity, making it especially effective against young larvae. Its slow onset results in visible effects within 2–3 days, offering long-lasting protection and high efficacy against lepidopteran pests, thrips, and other key crop threats—even those resistant to pyrethroids or organophosphates. Safe for bees and mammals, it’s ideal for integrated pest management in crops like corn, vegetables, citrus, and potatoes. Applied during egg-laying to early larval stages, it reduces pest density significantly without causing resurgence of sucking pests or harming beneficial insects. With residual activity and no systemic action, it protects new growth when sprayed every 7–10 days. FDD-Global supports global agri-input value chains by connecting manufacturers and growers through digital platforms for efficient, transparent solutions in pesticide distribution and agricultural productivity.
