Prochloraz Product Introduction
Prochloraz is a broad-spectrum fungicide with significant efficacy against diseases caused by ascomycetes and deuteromycetes (fungi imperfecti) on various crops. It can also be mixed with most fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides, all with good control effects. It has therapeutic and eradicant effects on various diseases affecting field crops, fruits, vegetables, turf, and ornamental plants.
I.Fungicidal Mechanism:
Prochloraz inhibits the biosynthesis of sterols within the pathogen, preventing its growth. It provides excellent control against many diseases caused by ascomycetes and deuteromycetes, especially against anthracnose on various crops.
II.Application Fields:
Can control many diseases on cereal crops, field crops, fruit trees, vegetables, etc.
It is a broad-spectrum fungicide. It inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis and has protective and eradicant action, showing significant efficacy against numerous ascomycete and deuteromycete diseases on various crops. It can be used to control many diseases on the stems, leaves, and ears of cereal crops, such as powdery mildew and leaf spot diseases. For seed treatment, use concentrations of 200–400 mg active ingredient/L; for foliar spray, use 0.3–1.0 kg/ha. This product can also be used against many pathogens on fruit trees, vegetables, mushrooms, turf, and ornamental plants. Spray on fruit trees and vegetables before harvest at recommended concentrations of 20–50 g/100L; for post-harvest storage dips, use 250–1000 mg/L. It can be mixed with many fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides.
Ⅲ.Formulation Composition:
Currently, the highest concentration emulsifiable concentrate (EC) domestically is 45% Prochloraz EC. The main components are Prochloraz 1–45%, emulsifier 1–20%, antifreeze agent 1–15%, defoamer 0–2%, solvent 1–45%, thickener 0.1–3%, and water as the balance. In practical use (Chemicalbook), it was found that spraying onto plant surfaces, but due to years of use, pests have developed some resistance, leading to less than ideal fungicidal rates. Since Prochloraz EC is low-toxicity and causes little environmental pollution, increasing the Prochloraz concentration is being considered to improve the fungicidal rate.
