Highlights at a glance
Monocalcium phosphate (Ca(H2PO4)2·H2O) is a white crystalline powder or flaky crystal with a specific gravity of 2.220, soluble in acids and slightly in water, and forms an acidic aqueous solution. It is hygroscopic and typically contains free phosphoric acid. Two primary production methods include the neutralization of phosphoric acid with calcium hydroxide and the reaction between calcium sulfate and phosphoric acid, both yielding monocalcium phosphate precipitate followed by purification. Widely used as a feed additive in livestock, poultry, and aquaculture, it also serves as a leavening agent, dough regulator, buffer, and nutritional supplement in food processing. Additional applications span analytical reagents, fermentation promoters, wine flavoring, refractory materials, sewage treatment, plastics stabilization, and glass production. Through digital integration and global supply chain networks, efficient and transparent distribution of such agricultural resources is enabled, supporting producers, distributors, and growers worldwide.
